The Ferrari F80 has arrived. If you missed its debut, it's the most powerful Ferrari ever, boasting 1,184 horsepower. However, don't expect to find a V-12 or even a V-8 under the hood. Instead, this beast relies on a twin-turbocharged 3.0-liter V-6 paired with three electric motors to generate its immense power. The hybrid powertrain propels the car from 0 to 60 mph in about two seconds flat and can reach a top speed of 217.5 mph if you keep your foot down long enough. This is Ferrari's latest flagship supercar, tracing its lineage back to the 288 GTO, but let's be honest, you're more interested in the wild options and colors available in the F80's online configurator, which is already live. Be warned: the options aren't as wild as you might expect, and no prices are listed because, in the seven-figure supercar realm, such details are trivial. So, take a break from work and imagine yourself as a multi-millionaire, if only for a few minutes. How would you customize your new F80?
Ferrari offers several pre-configured models in a variety of colors, but clicking on any of them opens up a world of choices. The exterior color options start with 35 choices, categorized as standard, classic, special, historical, and a single matte option for those who prefer a non-glossy finish. Rosso Corsa is, of course, among the options, but we lean towards the darker Rosso Supercar. If we're splurging on a new Ferrari hypercar, we're sticking with red. From there, the customization options become more limited. You can opt for racing numbers and stripes in a modest range of styles and colors. There are only two wheel choices: standard aluminum or carbon fiber, both featuring the same five-spoke design. Carbon fiber options extend to various exterior components, including an option for the entire body shell, though the cost of such a choice is left to the imagination.
Inside, the minimalist "+1" interior offers just a few color options. You can customize features on the driver's seat, but if color coordination is your thing, gray or black can be selected to match. Tech-wise, smartphone connectivity is standard, while a passenger display is optional. Ferrari also offers anti-theft systems and the MyFerrari Connect system, which can be activated. For added functionality, you can include a passenger oddment net, though its purpose remains a mystery to us.
Each F80 is priced around $4 million, with only 799 units planned for production. While dreams are free, share your configuration with us in the comments.
