The Game Awards are set to begin tomorrow night, and according to Bloomberg reporter Jason Schreier, viewers should prepare for at least two moments that will leave them stunned. During an appearance on Kinda Funny Games Daily, Schreier hinted at two major game reveals that are expected to generate significant buzz. "There are at least two things that will make you guys react [and] say 'holy sh*t, I can’t believe it’s here,'" Schreier said (via VGC).
The Game Awards livestream will commence at 4:30 PM PT / 7:30 PM ET on December 12. So far, Gearbox Software boss Randy Pitchford has confirmed that a new trailer for Borderlands 4 will be unveiled. This will mark the first glimpse of gameplay for the looter-shooter, accompanied by an original CG-animated sequence.
Beyond this, details about the show have been tightly guarded, but fans can anticipate the usual lineup of world premieres, new trailers, and a musical performance by The Game Awards Orchestra. Schreier also noted that there will be a few teasers for games that are not expected to release until at least 2026.
For those looking to tune in, GameSpot is collaborating with The Game Awards to present a pre-show packed with exclusive content. This pre-show will run for two hours, starting at 2:30 PM PT / 5:30 PM ET.
