Introducing the most potent Maserati available for street use. This isn't the MC20, but the GT2 Stradale, a street-legal adaptation of the GT2 racing car, which itself is derived from the MC20 road car. Confusion abounds, but one thing is clear: this car is impressive. The MC20's aesthetic appeal remains intact, yet the GT2 Stradale combines this with a more aggressive GT2 flair. Elements from the GT2, such as larger air intakes, hood and wheel arch vents, and a prominent rear wing, are integrated. While not an exact replica, the front and rear fascias are more subdued. Carbon fiber is extensively used, including on the rear wing and hood flaps, with additional options for carbon fiber on the roof, fascias, fender intakes, and side skirts.

The interior blends racing elements with practical road features. Exposed carbon fiber, Alcantara, and matte surfaces reduce glare, and the steering wheel, thicker than the MC20's, has fewer controls for simplicity. A 10.25-inch center display and a six-speaker stereo are standard, with an optional 12-speaker system. The seats are custom-designed, featuring double-shell carbon fiber with foam ends, available in two sizes, and manually adjustable for a lower seating position. Optional four-point racing belts can be installed for track use, or less aggressive sport seats are available.

The GT2 Stradale boasts the most powerful engine in a road-going Maserati. The twin-turbo 3.0-liter Nettuno V-6 produces 631 horsepower at 7,500 rpm and 531 pound-feet of torque from around 3,000 rpm, thanks to a revised tune and exhaust. It retains the eight-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive, with improved acceleration and top speed due to a lighter weight. Maserati claims a 0-62 mph time of 2.8 seconds and a top speed of 201 mph. Buyers will likely appreciate its cornering abilities, using the same suspension as the GT2 race car, with up to 1,100 pounds of downforce and various drive modes, including a customizable Corsa Evo mode with the Performance Pack.

The GT2 Stradale was unveiled at The Quail during Monterey Car Week, alongside the MC20 Icona and MCXtrema. Pricing and availability details have yet to be disclosed, but it's safe to assume this is a luxury out of reach for many.
