The Enid Blyton novel The Magic Faraway Tree is set to be adapted into a film featuring a star-studded cast. According to Deadline, Nicola Coughlan (Bridgerton, Derry Girls), Nonso Anozie (Sweet Tooth, Ted Lasso), and Jessica Gunning (Baby Reindeer) have been confirmed for the project. The narrative revolves around Polly and Tim Thompson and their kids, Beth, Joe, and Fran, who move to the rural English countryside. Here, the children uncover a mystical tree and its residents, leading to numerous fantastical escapades. Ben Gregor (Britannia) is helming the film. Coughlan is slated to portray the fairy Silky, Anozie will take on the role of Moonface, and Gunning will portray Dame Washalot. Additionally, Claire Foy and Andrew Garfield are also part of the ensemble.
