Earlier this year, CD Projekt Red introduced REDkit, the official modding tool for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. This tool unlocked a plethora of possibilities for PC gamers, but the main game has now been given a remarkable visual overhaul that might even outshine the 2022 next-gen update. A modder known as Halk Hogan has released The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project: Next Gen Edition, which promises to elevate the game's visuals to an unprecedented level, transforming it into a true next-gen masterpiece. To substantiate these claims, Halk Hogan has shared a 15-minute side-by-side comparison on YouTube showcasing the enhancements.
The Witcher 3 HD Reworked Project: Next Gen Edition is currently available on NexusMods. The description states, 'Everything is meticulously crafted with attention to every detail. The goal is to make the game more detailed, realistic, consistent, and as true to the gritty atmosphere of the Witcher's world as possible.'
In a recent earnings report, CD Projekt Red confirmed that The Witcher 4 is officially in development, accompanied by a cryptic teaser image. While the game is likely still years away from release, fans can look forward to Liam Hemsworth taking over the role of Geralt from Henry Cavill in The Witcher Season 4 on Netflix, set to debut in 2025. Additionally, the next anime project in the franchise, The Witcher: Sirens of the Deep, is scheduled for release on February 11, 2025.
