The third unit in the Amels 80 series, dubbed Project Zurich, has made a significant debut at Damen Yachting's facilities in Galati, Romania. She is now set to be transported to Vlissingen in the Netherlands for outfitting works, with a scheduled delivery in 2026. The 80-metre vessel was sold in March 2023 and boasts several unique features that distinguish her from her sisterships, according to the Dutch yard.

Both the first and second hulls in the Amels 80 series are currently in different stages of construction. The Amels 80 is the largest model in the shipyard's renowned Limited Editions range, introduced to the market in March 2022, with the first hull sold just six months later. The exterior design is credited to Espen Øino, who has previously collaborated with the shipyard on the Amels 60 series and the custom build Energy. The identity of the interior design team, however, remains undisclosed.

Key features of the 2,175GT superyacht include a 200-square-metre sundeck, a dedicated owner's deck, a 6.5-metre swimming pool, and a foredeck helipad. The beach club is another notable area, functioning as a comprehensive waterfront lounge with opening sea terraces that transform it into a semi-enclosed space, providing access to a spa, sauna, gym, Hammam, and massage room. A circular social area, featuring a sit-up bar, can also be converted into a cinema.

Project manager Sander Peeters expressed his excitement, stating, "Witnessing the third Amels 80 take to the water is an inspiring moment for the entire team. We’re eagerly anticipating her arrival in the Netherlands and the progress towards her delivery."

This announcement comes on the heels of the delivery of the sixth Amels 60, 21.12, which is distinguished by its "striking" blue hull. According to BOATPro, Damen Yachting currently has seven yachts on order or actively under construction.
