Three cutting-edge schools have been inaugurated in Zayed City, marking the first initiative of its kind to be finalized under the public-private partnership model spearheaded by the Abu Dhabi Investment Office. These schools will accommodate 5,360 students for the 2024-2025 academic year and are constructed on a sprawling 81,000 sqm area. The project was executed in partnership with the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge (ADEK) and a consortium comprising BESIX and Bellinary Group.

A video showcasing the new facilities, shared by the Abu Dhabi Media Office on X, is available below. The schools are furnished with the most advanced technologies and offer educational spaces meticulously designed to foster creativity and inspire learning.

The launch was commemorated by Mubarak Hamad Al Muhairi, Undersecretary of the Department of Education and Knowledge, Badr Salim Sultan Al Olama, Director General of the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, and other high-ranking officials. ADIO is also involved in other public-private sector collaborations, such as the development of top-tier student housing facilities for Khalifa University of Science and Technology.

The Zayed City Schools Project is geared towards elevating the standard of education in the emirate and encouraging private sector involvement in financing and constructing public infrastructure in Abu Dhabi. Yasir Al Nuaimi, Acting Head of Infrastructure Partnerships at ADIO, stated: “By harnessing the private sector's expertise in design, financing, and construction, we have constructed world-class educational facilities that maximize students' potential. This project's success sets the stage for more public-private collaborations, offering substantial opportunities for our private sector partners to contribute to the vision of sustainable growth in Abu Dhabi and secure long-term investment returns.”
