During Comic-Con weekend, you may have caught glimpses of leaked Thunderbolts footage following the Marvel Studios panel. If you missed it, Marvel has now officially released the trailer, showcasing a team of former MCU villains joining forces to tackle even more formidable foes.

The trailer kicks off with Florence Pugh's Yelena Belova reuniting with her adoptive father, Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian (David Harbour). Yelena expresses a sense of emptiness, confessing, 'There is something wrong with me.'

Additionally, John Walker/US Agent (Wyatt Russell) grapples with the guilt of his past actions, particularly the incident involving Captain America's shield. Meanwhile, Bucky Barnes (Sebastian Stan) is seen surveilling Countess Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), who appears to be orchestrating the team's formation, a plot thread introduced in Disney+'s The Falcon and The Winter Soldier.

Joining the ensemble is Ghost (Hannah John-Kamen) from Ant-Man and the Wasp. The trailer also introduces a significant new character to the MCU: the Sentry. Initially slated to be played by Steven Yeun, the role is now portrayed by Lewis Pullman (Top Gun: Maverick), who is simply referred to as 'Bob' in the trailer.

Marvel's Thunderbolts is set to hit theaters on May 2, 2025.
