Toby Fox, the creator of Deltarune, has announced that chapters 3 and 4 of the game will be released in 2025. "I'm excited to share what we've been working on since six years ago. Chapter 3 and 4 will definitely come out in 2025," Fox stated on Twitter. "The exact timing depends on localization and console porting. Please listen to me desperately trying to break free from the shallow grave I've been buried in."
The first chapter of Deltarune was released in 2018, with the second chapter following in 2021. Both chapters are available for free on PC, PS4, and Switch. Chapters 3, 4, and 5 will be paid releases, though the pricing is currently undisclosed. However, fans now have a clearer timeline for the game's future.
Deltarune is a sequel to the highly successful Undertale, sharing several elements with its predecessor. Both titles are anagrams of each other, and Deltarune features alternate versions of characters from Undertale.
Deltarune's Chapter 2 was recognized by GameSpot as one of the Best of 2021. GameSpot commented, "While the chapters are brief, they are incredibly engaging, making it difficult to stop playing once you've started."
