A traffic pile-up in Oman resulted in the death of two citizens and the injury of 22 people on Thursday, according to the Sultanate's police.

The multiple-vehicle collision occurred during the morning hours on the road connecting Ibra and Al Mudhaibi. The incident involved seven vehicles, with 22 individuals sustaining injuries ranging from light to moderate. These individuals were initially transported to Ibra Hospital.

The Emergency Case Management Centre at the Ministry of Health stated that critical cases would be transferred to nearby hospitals, including Nizwa, Sur, Khawla, and University Medical City. The authority urged all citizens and residents to exercise caution while driving, particularly over long distances, and to adhere to traffic instructions issued by the competent authorities in the Sultanate of Oman.
