A bus carrying pilgrims met with a tragic accident, plunging into a deep gorge in the northern Indian federal territory of Jammu. The incident, which occurred on Thursday, resulted in the loss of at least 21 lives and left numerous individuals injured, according to authorities.
Originating from Kurukshetra in the northern Haryana state, the bus was en route to a Hindu temple in Jammu when it veered off the road and tumbled into the gorge, as reported by a police spokesperson. In response to the devastating occurrence, a rescue operation was promptly initiated. The police official stated that 40 of the injured individuals were promptly admitted to the government medical college in Jammu for necessary medical attention and treatment.
