Tragically, a staggering six newborns perished in a fire outbreak at a New Born Baby Care Hospital in Delhi's Vivek Vihar late on Saturday night. According to the Delhi Fire Department, 12 children were rescued, with six losing their lives, one on a ventilator, and five admitted to the hospital. The surviving newborns have been transferred to the East Delhi Advance NICU hospital.

Upon receiving the information, police and firefighters promptly arrived at the scene and successfully extinguished the fire. A fire officer stated, 'At 11:32 pm, the Fire Service Control Room received information about the hospital fire. A total of 16 fire tenders were dispatched, and the fire has been completely put out. Two buildings were impacted, the hospital building and a residential building. Approximately 11-12 individuals were rescued and hospitalized. Further updates will follow.'

This unfortunate incident occurred on the same day that saw 27 lives lost in a large fire at a game zone in Rajkot, Gujarat.
