Travis Kelce's acting debut was anything but a fumble. The internet went wild after his character in 'Grotesquerie' was revealed to have a raunchy past as a male stripper — 'jiggling it for horny mamas coming off of cruise ships' in Alaska. Talk about a tight end.
Kelce, 35, who appeared in Ryan Murphy’s new FX horror show in episodes three and four on Wednesday, plays Ed Laclan, an orderly at the local hospital. A flirty Ed reveals his previous life to Detective Lois Tryon (Niecy Nash) — sending fans into a frenzy.
In light of his character’s admission, TMZ Sports reported on Saturday that multiple male adult entertainment establishments are saying they’d love Kelce — whose character on the show is said to have 'rocked a banana hammock with the name 'Big Peter and his Banana Splitter' in his past job — to make an appearance.
The famed strip joint Thunder From Down Under, with locations in Las Vegas and Nashville, was especially hot to trot for the most famous man in football right now — hoping to get him up on stage to 'reenact his role from 'Grotesquerie.'
'I think the audience would go wild for a little NFL meets thunder magic!' co-owner Adam Steck told the outlet.
Also throwing their ring in the hat is Vegas’ The Kings of Hustler strip club, with general manager Brittany Rose confirming to TMZ: 'Travis Kelce can rock his banana hammock on our stage.' Rose noted that she’s sure fans of Kelce’s girlfriend, Taylor Swift, would be among the first in line.
'I’m sure that all the Vegas Swifties will want to catch a glimpse of what Taylor is working with behind the scenes,' she continued. 'You know he’s given her a private show.'
'Girls Night Out: The Show,' a traveling tour of male performers, is keen on getting Kelce in their club. Booking agent John Johnson said they 'would love to extend an open invitation to Travis Kelce to reprise his role as Ed Lachlan on 'Grotesquerie' and heat up the stage with us.'
The legendary Chippendales rounded out the offers, telling TMZ, 'Travis has an open invite to wear our iconic cuffs and collars [and] join our guys onstage in Vegas.' 'We’ve had many celebrity guest stars and he would be an amazing addition to the show. Our cast would put him through our Chipps boot camp for sure!'
In the horror series’ third episode, Kelce’s character consoles Nash’s Lois at the hospital after she fights with her husband Marshall’s (Courtney B. Vance) carer, Nurse Redd (Lesley Manville). The two take to flirting, and Ed later opens up to Lois about his past.
And the show’s creator couldn’t be prouder with his leading man. 'A star is a star is a star—and he’s a star,' Murphy gushed about Kelce E! News at last month’s red carpet premiere. 'He’s so charismatic, and he’s so smart, he’s lovely. He had a window of time. He asked me to work up something for him. I did. It was an honor.'
