Tristar Group and the Traffic Awareness Section of the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) have renewed their collaboration to enhance road safety awareness among school children in Dubai. The campaign for the academic year 2024-2025 was recently inaugurated at The Indian High School in Garhoud. Tristar’s ‘Kids Traffic Arena’ has been established within the school’s premises, where young students are encouraged to navigate simulated roads using pedal cars. Through this initiative, they learn crucial traffic rules such as obeying signals, stopping at pedestrian crossings, and always wearing seat belts when inside a vehicle. Participants were also presented with a stationery case featuring road safety messages.

The core objective of this campaign is to foster road safety awareness among school children and instill lifelong safety habits from an early age, through practical lessons. Additionally, students are empowered to remind their parents and family members to adhere to the traffic rules they have learned and to follow road safety guidelines, such as avoiding distractions and mobile phones while driving. The Tristar-RTA partnership initially kicked off in March 2023 with the launch of the ‘Golden Rules for Generational Safety’ at the Zayed Education Complex in Al Barsha. In July this year, the RTA reported that it had conveyed traffic safety messages to over 350,000 students across various schools in Dubai. The authority also organized educational events in 50 schools during the academic year 2023-2024, involving more than 15,000 students. Tristar actively participated in the road safety program in 10 schools, reaching over 8,000 students.

On June 6, The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) honored Tristar’s ongoing program with the esteemed Health & Safety Beyond the Workplace award. This public safety initiative aligns with the UN Global Plan for the Road Safety Decade of Action (2021-2030), which aims to reduce road traffic deaths and injuries by half.
