The UAE is closely monitoring the situation involving its citizen Pavel Durov, the founder of Telegram, who was detained by French authorities at Paris – Le Bourget Airport.
The UAE has requested the Government of the French Republic to urgently provide him with all necessary consular services. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MoFA) emphasized in a statement that prioritizing the welfare of UAE citizens, protecting their interests, and offering comprehensive support are top priorities for the UAE.
