On Thursday (July 25), UAE airlines operating flights to Ahmedabad and Mumbai are adhering to their schedules. However, departures from these two Indian cities are anticipated to experience delays due to the significant rainfall affecting the regions.
An Etihad Airways representative informed Khaleej Times: "Our flights to and from Mumbai are currently operating as usual. Nonetheless, we are encountering some delays for flights leaving the impacted areas because of the heavy rainfall." The spokesperson further advised passengers to monitor their flight statuses via the airline's website or mobile app for the latest updates.
Similarly, Emirates confirmed that their operations in Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Chennai remain unaffected. Flydubai, another Dubai-based airline, also reported that their flights to Ahmedabad and Mumbai are running on schedule, with passengers encouraged to check their flight status on flydubai.com.
Persistent heavy rains in Mumbai and surrounding areas have caused disruptions at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, leading Indian airlines such as SpiceJet, Air India, and IndiGo to announce flight delays. Educational institutions like schools and colleges have also been closed.
