The UAE National Squad members are once more joining forces with the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation for a rigorous three-week training camp in Morocco. This camp aims to prepare the players for the 2024-25 golf season at its peak. Twenty UAE players from five distinct teams (Ladies, Men’s, 18 & Under, 15 & Under, and 13 & Under) will collaborate with the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, Golf Saudi, Lebanon Golf Federation, and Kuwait Golf Federation. The focus of this camp will be on competition, high-performance development, testing, and team building.

Since the establishment of the 2022 Arab alliance partnership between the Emirates Golf Federation (EGF) and the Royal Moroccan Golf Federation, these federations have organized annual training camps at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam Golf Club. This year, Golf Saudi, Lebanon Golf Federation, and Kuwait Golf Federation will also participate, utilizing the club’s advanced driving range, short game, and practice facilities, as well as its two 18-hole championship courses, renowned as some of the best in the region.

The EGF has dispatched UAE National Team coaches along with additional high-level biomechanics and fitness performance coaches from South Africa and Great Britain. These coaches have developed a comprehensive training program focusing on player development and competition. They will evaluate and measure various aspects of the players' golf game, fostering a competitive environment among the federations.

“We are pushing the best out of our players and coaches,” stated General Abdallah Alhashmi, Vice-Chairman of the Emirates Golf Federation. “Over the next three weeks, we will rigorously test our team, and assess how our players compare with other programs within the Arab Golf Federation. The Moroccan players have consistently been top performers in Arab golf.

“By training and competing against each other, we will not only foster a fun competitive atmosphere but also identify areas for improvement for both coaches and players,” Alhashmi added. “I want to express my gratitude to the Moroccan Golf Federation for their warm welcome of the EGF.”

In addition to General Alhashmi, EGF officials Khalid Mubarak Al Shamsi, Secretary General, and Akram Skaik, Director General, will be present at the training camp. “In the past 18 months, we have witnessed significant advancements in our high-performance program, and we continue to see progress in our results,” General Alhashmi noted. “We have more ranked players, which is part of our strategy to achieve our goals. Through our camps, training programs, and participation in international tournaments across Asia and Europe, the 2024-2025 season promises to be exhilarating.”
