In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized the critical need for immediate, safe, sustainable, and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical aid to the Palestinian people. The Ministry also reiterated the necessity for an immediate ceasefire to prevent further loss of life, highlighting the importance of safeguarding civilians and civilian institutions in accordance with international law and treaties.
The UAE urged the international community to intensify efforts to prevent further escalation in the Occupied Palestinian Territory and to promote comprehensive and just peace. The Ministry warned that the Israeli occupation's disregard for Palestinian lives and its attempts to impose a fait accompli, stripping Palestinians of their rights under international law, could undermine efforts to implement the two-state solution, thereby exacerbating the cycle of violence and threatening international peace and security.
The Ministry reaffirmed Qatar's steadfast support for the just Palestinian cause and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including the establishment of an independent state on the 1967 borders with East Jerusalem as its capital.
