Four members of the UAE Armed Forces lost their lives in an accident while on duty, as they were transporting ammunition inside one of the camps, according to a top defence official's statement. Nine others were injured in the same incident that occurred on Tuesday evening, September 24, as reported by the Ministry of Defence. The deceased were identified as Nahyan Al Marzouqi, Ahmed Al Shehhi, Nasser Al Balooshi, and Abdulaziz Al Taniji.
Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Defence, who visited the soldiers' families on Thursday, expressed in a statement: "We extend our heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the families of the martyrs, who sacrificed their lives while performing the duty of transporting ammunition within one of the camps in the country." A high-ranking delegation from the Ministry of Defence, led by Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, offered their condolences to the families of the deceased.
During their visit to the mourning councils, the delegation conveyed their sincere condolences and sympathy to the families, praying to God Almighty to "bestow His abundant mercy upon them, to place them among the righteous, martyrs, and the pious, to grant them a place in His vast gardens, and to inspire their families with patience and solace." Al Dhaheri further mentioned that the injured soldiers are currently receiving the best medical care in the country, and he wished them continued health and safety.
