The UAE cabinet has given the green light to a Dh7 million award aimed at recognizing federal government employees who contribute to reducing bureaucracy.

"We will honor work teams, individuals, and federal entities that propose projects to streamline government processes, provide financial support, and alleviate regulatory pressures on businesses and individuals," stated Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in a post on X.

"We will celebrate those who make transactions easier, simplify procedures, reduce steps, and save people time and effort in their dealings with the government," he added. Sheikh Mohammed also emphasized, "We will acknowledge the innovative individuals and celebrate the hardworking and dedicated government employees who work tirelessly to provide resources, serve the public, and enhance the country’s competitive edge."

In addition, Sheikh Mohammed announced that the cabinet has approved the establishment of the Emirates Entrepreneurship Council, with a Dh300 million fund allocated to support youth initiatives and encourage entrepreneurship. The council will be led by Alia Al Mazrouei.

"Our nation is prosperous, its benefits are widespread and significant, and its economic activity positively impacts all, near and far. We want our youth to capitalize on this robust economic movement, grasp the principles of excellence within it, leverage the vast opportunities it offers, and drive this movement towards even greater and more expansive horizons," he concluded.
