UAE government authorities are hosting a sports festival and various other events for the workers during the Eid Al Adha holidays. The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation (Mohre), in collaboration with other national entities, is organizing a three-day event where two cars, smartphones, travel tickets, and numerous gifts will be distributed. Workers are forming teams to participate in football, volleyball, and cricket competitions. Additional activities are also scheduled. Mohre aims to express the government's gratitude towards the workers, recognizing their significant role in the UAE's development. Alongside the entertainment, workshops will be conducted to educate workers on their rights, responsibilities, and the country's labor laws and policies. These recreational activities are part of broader initiatives to enhance worker welfare, including improvements in living conditions, wages, and legal protections for worker rights and safety. On June 15, the UAE's midday work ban will commence, lasting until September 15, with 6,000 rest stations being established for delivery riders.
