The UAE has strongly condemned and denounced the attack on Al-Tabi’een School in the Al-Daraj neighbourhood east of Gaza City, a shelter for displaced Palestinians, which led to the death and injury of numerous innocent civilians.
In a statement, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the UAE’s firm opposition to targeting civilians and civilian facilities. It emphasized the immediate need to safeguard civilian lives and ensure the safe, unimpeded, and intensive delivery of humanitarian, relief, and medical assistance to the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
The ministry called for an immediate ceasefire to halt further bloodshed, highlighting the importance of full protection for civilians and civil institutions under international law and treaties, and their non-involvement as targets in the conflict. The UAE urged the international community to make every effort to prevent further escalation in the occupied Palestinian territories and to advance all efforts towards achieving a comprehensive and just peace.
