The UAE has strongly condemned an attack on Saudi forces in Yemen, according to a statement released by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Sunday. The Emirates denounced the 'cowardly' assault on Saudi forces stationed at the coalition forces camp in the Yemeni city of Sayoun, which led to the death of two Saudi soldiers and the injury of another.
The ministry reiterated in its statement that the UAE strongly condemns these criminal acts and consistently opposes all forms of violence and terrorism that aim to disrupt security and stability, actions which are contrary to international law. The authority expressed its unwavering solidarity with the Saudi forces engaged in coalition operations to uphold security, stability, and peace in Yemen. It also emphasized its support for the measures undertaken by the Kingdom to ensure its security and the safety of its military personnel and citizens.
Furthermore, the authority conveyed its heartfelt condolences and sympathy to the government and people of Saudi Arabia, as well as to the families and loved ones of the two victims of this heinous crime. It also wished for a swift recovery for all those injured in the attack.
