The UAE's Cyber Security Council (CSC) has advised residents using Google Chrome on their devices to update their browsers promptly. This recommendation comes after the release of a new critical security update by Google Chrome, aimed at mitigating multiple high-severity vulnerabilities. The CSC highlighted this update via a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, emphasizing that these vulnerabilities could be exploited by attackers, leading to potential data theft, malware installation, or other malicious activities. The update specifically addresses 6 security fixes. Consequently, the Cybersecurity Council strongly suggests updating Google Chrome to the latest version on all devices and sharing this information with subsidiaries and partners.
