In a break from the intense heat, various regions across the UAE experienced moderate to heavy rain, along with minor hail, on Monday.
The National Center of Meteorology reported significant rainfall and some hail in Wadi Hilo, Sharjah. Moderate showers were observed on the Kalba Shokah Road in the Eastern Region, while light rain occurred in areas near the Shawka-Al Muinai Road in Ras Al Kaimah.
Additionally, the weather department has issued an orange alert due to the formation of convective clouds, which are expected to bring rain and gusty winds that may cause dust storms. The anticipated wind speed could reach 40 km/hour. This alert, issued when severe weather conditions are forecasted, advises residents to stay prepared and is in effect from 5:30pm to 8:30pm.
