The UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and US Secretary of State Antony Blinken engaged in a phone conversation on Tuesday to discuss recent regional developments. During the call, Sheikh Abdullah addressed the current situation in the Gaza Strip and Lebanon, emphasizing the need for political and diplomatic efforts to achieve a ceasefire and promote stability and security in the region.

The two leaders also examined the international community's efforts to bolster the humanitarian response for civilians in the Gaza Strip, as well as the ongoing situation in Sudan and its humanitarian implications. This discussion followed the UAE's recent disclosure of the identities of those involved in the murder of Israeli-Moldovan citizen Zvi Kogan. The ministry confirmed that authorities are actively investigating the details, circumstances, and motives behind the crime.

Among other key topics, Sheikh Abdullah highlighted the UAE's swift arrest of Kogan's killers and the nation's commitment to maintaining a firm stance against any actions that threaten the security, stability, and social harmony of the country.
