Beginning June 3, certain public health centres in the UAE will cease providing medical fitness tests for residence visa applications, as announced by authorities. The Emirates Health Services (EHC) has confirmed the closure, emphasizing that the service will still be available at other centres.
The following four health centres will discontinue conducting medical fitness tests for visas:
- Ajman Public Health Centre
- Ras Al Khaimah Public Health Centre
- Umm Al Quwain Public Health Centre
- Fujairah Public Health Centre
It is mandatory for all expats applying for residence visas to undergo medical fitness tests. A report verifying that an individual is "medically fit" is a prerequisite for the application's approval.
Applicants in Ajman, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah can avail this service at other EHS centres in the respective emirates, including:
