The UAE Government has introduced fines of up to Dh1 million following the issuance of a Federal Decree-Law on Monday, which amends certain sections of the Federal Decree-Law governing employment relationships. According to the updated regulations, employers will face fines ranging from Dh100,000 to Dh1 million under three specific circumstances: employing a worker without a valid work permit or bringing them in without a job offer, closing a business without resolving workers' rights, and hiring a minor in contravention of the law.
