The UAE is set to introduce a new Smart Health Card for all residents, ensuring continued access to essential healthcare services. The Emirates Health Services (EHS) health card is crucial for accessing affordable medical care at government hospitals, especially considering the high cost of healthcare, even with insurance. With this card, you can enjoy a 20% discount on all EHS services. Moreover, Persons of Determination (PoD) receive free access to all EHS services.
It's important to note that while your health card is linked to your Emirates ID, its validity is not tied to the expiration of your Emirates ID. UAE residents have a one-year validity period, while UAE and GCC nationals enjoy a five-year validity. Renewing your health card is a straightforward process. Here’s how you can do it:
Eligibility
This service is available to UAE citizens, GCC citizens, and UAE residents with an expiring health card.
