The UAE has launched an initiative to assist Gaza in producing bread once more, amid a severe shortage caused by the ongoing conflict. Countless Palestinians have been relying on bread for sustenance as food supplies dwindle—yet even bread is becoming increasingly scarce. Chaotic scenes have been witnessed at bakeries, where crowds of hungry Gazans, both young and old, vie for a loaf.
The UAE's humanitarian mission in Gaza has initiated the 'Subsidised Bread' campaign to tackle the critical bread shortage in the war-ravaged region. As part of this effort, essential production supplies—including flour and other materials—have been provided to enable bakeries to reopen amidst a deepening hunger crisis, exacerbated by border closures and restrictions on food aid. Through continuous relief initiatives and campaigns, the UAE aims to support displaced Palestinian families and alleviate their daily hardships during this time of conflict.
