The "UAE Stands with Lebanon" national campaign was initiated on October 12, mobilizing 200 tonnes of aid distributed across 10,000 relief packages. This effort, spearheaded by 4,000 volunteers, underscores the UAE's unwavering commitment to alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon and supporting its people. Sultan Al Shamsi, Assistant Minister of Foreign Affairs for Development Affairs and International Organisations, emphasized, "Our campaign reflects the UAE's humanitarian ethos and its enduring fraternal ties, advocating for unity and collaboration. We are extending our support to all affected by conflicts and wars, addressing Lebanon's dire needs with our leadership's prompt action."

Al Shamsi further noted, "The 'UAE Stands with Lebanon' campaign symbolizes the unity of UAE society with Lebanon, persistently striving to offer relief, especially to the injured and displaced. This initiative conveys a message of hope and solidarity." He also mentioned the UAE's immediate response, starting with President Sheikh Mohamed's directive to allocate $100 million in aid to Lebanon, including $30 million for urgent relief to displaced Lebanese in Syria.

Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, also directed urgent aid to benefit 250,000 people in Lebanon through the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI). Since October 4, the UAE has coordinated with international partners like WHO, UNICEF, UNHCR, and IFRC to dispatch nine aircraft carrying 375 tonnes of essential supplies to Lebanon, with more scheduled flights planned.

These efforts highlight the UAE's global leadership in providing relief and solidarity with Lebanon, mirroring its historical and steadfast support for the Lebanese people. The campaign commenced on October 12, 2024, from 09am to 1pm at Expo City Dubai, with subsequent events planned at Abu Dhabi Cruise Terminal under the Emirates Red Crescent's supervision, and further events across other emirates.
