The 'UAE is with you, Lebanon' relief campaign will commence on Tuesday, October 8, and extend until Monday, October 21, involving the community, institutions, government, and private entities. This initiative follows the UAE President's earlier directive to dispatch an urgent relief aid package valued at $100 million, reflecting the state's commitment to supporting Lebanon and standing by its people during these challenging times.
Sheikh Theyab emphasized the UAE's, under the leadership of Sheikh Mohamed, steadfast dedication to aiding the Lebanese people in overcoming their current humanitarian and economic hardships. He also highlighted the renowned humanitarian and fraternal role of the Emirati community, encompassing individuals, institutions, and business leaders, in supporting those in need during crises.
In response to Sheikh Mohamed's earlier directive, the UAE has already deployed six aircraft carrying approximately 205 tons of medical, food, relief supplies, and shelter equipment. This effort aims to mitigate the severe humanitarian and health impacts, in collaboration with international partners such as the World Health Organization, UNICEF, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, and the International Federation of Red Cross and Crescent Societies.
The 'UAE with you, Lebanon' campaign is being launched under the guidance of President Sheikh Mohamed and the oversight of Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Presidential Affairs, Sheikh Theyab bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Chief of the Presidential Court for Development Affairs and Martyrs' Families, and Chairman of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council.
