Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan and Faisal Al Bannai, both UAE citizens, were featured on Time's list of the 100 most influential people in AI. Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, took to X to commend these individuals. In his post, the Ruler stated: "In a world where technology is reshaping the global economy, artificial intelligence stands at the forefront of these advancements. Time magazine has unveiled its yearly compilation of the 100 most significant figures in this domain."
Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's National Security Advisor and chairman of G42, was recognized among the 'shapers' on the list. The Ruler continued: "Among those shaping the future of this technology worldwide, under the category 'The Shapers,' we find the name of my brother, Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed Al Nahyan. He leads various global institutions, companies, partnerships, and programs that contribute to shaping this sector, both locally and globally, thereby influencing the future global economy."
The list also highlighted Faisal Al Bannai, a key member of the national team in this sector, among the executives of the world’s leading companies in AI. Faisal Al Bannai is a renowned Emirati entrepreneur and the chairperson of EDGE group. He also serves as the Secretary-General of the Advanced Technology Research Council and is a member of the Emirates Research and Development Council.
