From the first ticket-buyers to those waiting until the last minute, many UAE residents are eagerly anticipating the first live draw of The UAE Lottery. On Saturday, December 14, players and spectators will find out if the Dh100-million grand prize will be won. Keep in mind, the odds of hitting the jackpot are one in 8.8 million. A number of residents are still getting acquainted with The UAE Lottery, as it was launched just a few weeks ago. Many ticket-buyers are adopting a wait-and-see approach, curious to witness how the main 'Lucky Day' draw will unfold.

Here's a guide to the draw, how to claim a prize, and some common issues participants may encounter:

Where to watch The UAE Lottery draw

The inaugural draw of The UAE Lottery will take place at 8.30pm on Saturday, December 14. It will be streamed live on the gaming platform's official YouTube channel: https://www.youtube.com/@theuaelottery/streams. While updates will be shared on Facebook, Instagram, and X, it's recommended to watch the draw on YouTube.

Can a player change or cancel a lottery ticket?

If you've already purchased a ticket but wish to change your numbers, unfortunately, you won't be able to make any alterations after the purchase. Similarly, you cannot cancel the ticket.

Are you having trouble logging in?

To buy tickets, you need to register and create a username (either your phone number or email address) and a password. If you've forgotten your password, click 'Forgot password' on the login page. If you can't recall your username, email support@theuaelottery.ae. Note that your username cannot be changed once your account is created. To change your password, go to your profile in the top right corner, select 'Account Info', and then 'Change Password'.

What to do if your bank card was declined

To participate and buy tickets, you need to deposit credits into your account. The main draw ticket costs Dh50. Since the process is online, you'll need to enter your bank card details for payment. However, sometimes deposits may fail due to your bank not processing commercial gaming transactions (MCC 7995). In such cases, contact your bank. Alternatively, you can use PayBy (www.payby.com). Deposits may also be declined if you're outside the UAE or in a region where commercial gaming is prohibited, or if you're in a sensitive area like a mosque within the UAE.
