The Ministry of Interior has declared a reduction in traffic penalties throughout the UAE as part of its 'Accident Free Day' campaign, which is scheduled to commence on August 26, according to a statement released on Tuesday.
This initiative will grant a reduction of four black traffic points to drivers who comply with traffic regulations and avoid accidents. They are required to sign the traffic pledge available on the Ministry's website. This initiative will remain in effect for two weeks starting from August 26.
The campaign, which aligns with the beginning of the new school year, aims to ensure a safe first day of school with no accidents, as students return from their summer break and school buses take to the roads.
