Additionally, the mission encouraged citizens abroad to register for the Tawajudi service. The Philippines has recently experienced several typhoons and storms. Earlier, Sheikh Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Ruler's Representative in Al Dhafra Region and Chairman of the Emirates Red Crescent (ERC), assessed the progress of the UAE's relief efforts in the Philippines following the impact of tropical storm Kristine (Trami). The ERC delegation successfully concluded the initial phase of the UAE's aid distribution in Sorsogon, the province most severely affected by the typhoon. Humanitarian assistance was distributed across the municipalities of Bulan, Irosin, Coban, Kasi Goran, and Sorsogon City.
