UAE President Sheikh Mohammed has directed an immediate relief aid package worth $100 million to support the Lebanese people, according to the Emirates News Agency (WAM) on Monday.

Approximately 100,000 Lebanese and Syrian nationals have sought refuge in Syria due to ongoing Israeli airstrikes, as reported by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees on Monday. "The number of individuals who have crossed into Syria from Lebanon to escape Israeli airstrikes, including both Lebanese and Syrian nationals, has now reached 100,000," stated Filippo Grandi on X, emphasizing that "the exodus continues."

Lebanon's Health Ministry has confirmed that over 1,000 Lebanese have been killed and 6,000 injured in the past two weeks, though the exact number of civilian casualties remains unspecified. The government estimates that one million people, representing a fifth of the population, have been displaced from their homes.

The escalating Israeli bombardment over the past two weeks has resulted in the deaths of several high-ranking Hezbollah officials, including its leader Hassan Nasrallah. Israel has pledged to continue its offensive, aiming to secure its northern regions once again for residents who have been compelled to flee due to Hezbollah rocket attacks.
