On Friday, UAE President Sheikh Mohamed took part in the G7 Summit's session focusing on artificial intelligence and energy, themed 'Energy and Artificial Intelligence/Africa and the Mediterranean Region.' The session was inaugurated by Italy's Prime Minister, Giorgia Meloni, who is hosting the summit this year. Sheikh Mohamed highlighted the numerous global challenges, particularly affecting the Middle East and Africa, with a significant focus on the energy sector. He stressed the importance of collective efforts and cooperation, utilizing emerging technologies like artificial intelligence to provide sustainable energy solutions. At the end of his remarks, a video presentation detailed the UAE's ambitious plans and achievements in investing in artificial intelligence for advancing sustainable energy and prosperity, featuring insights from experts and officials including Omar Sultan Al Olama, Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence, Digital Economy, and Remote Work Applications, and Faisal Al Bannai, Advisor to the UAE President for Strategic Research and Advanced Technology Affairs.
