A senior official has confirmed that all fines for overstayers will be eliminated from the system as soon as they apply for amnesty. "All fines have been removed from the system for individuals who have taken advantage of amnesty, and those who approach us to avail of the amnesty will have their fines entirely waived," stated Major General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, director general of GDRFA, in an exclusive interview with Khaleej Times. Al Marri emphasized the UAE government's dedication to making the visa amnesty process as seamless and accessible as possible. The elimination of fines, which is a substantial financial burden for many, is aimed at encouraging individuals to step forward and correct their residency status.

"We ensure that all fines associated with overstaying will be removed from the system for those participating in the amnesty program. This is part of our effort to provide everyone with a fresh start and to demonstrate that the UAE is committed to assisting those who wish to stay and work here legally," added Al Marri.
