Residents in certain regions of the UAE may anticipate a respite from the heat due to anticipated rainfall over the next few days, according to a forecast by the National Centre of Meteorology. From Monday, August 5, to Thursday, August 8, the weather is expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy across most areas of the country, with a possibility of rainfall in some areas, particularly in the eastward and southward regions intermittently.
The NCM reports that during this period, the UAE will experience the influence of the Inter Tropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) extending and moving towards the country from the south and upper-level pressure systems from the east, accompanied by cloud movement towards the country. Winds are anticipated to be light to moderate and fresh at times, blowing from the southeast to northeast, occasionally shifting to northwesterly, with convective clouds potentially causing blowing dust and sand, thereby reducing horizontal visibility.
The seas are expected to have light to moderate waves in the Arabian Gulf, and slight to moderate, occasionally rough on Tuesday in the Oman Sea. The meteorological center is continuously monitoring the situation and will keep providing updates.
