As part of Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the UAE has delivered top-tier medical care, successfully conducting intricate surgeries for injured Palestinians at its mobile hospital stationed in Al Arish. This initiative is designed to ease the hardships faced by the Palestinian population. The Prosthetics Centre at the UAE's Floating Hospital is actively providing artificial limbs to individuals who suffered limb loss during the conflict in the Gaza Strip. Currently, measurements for prosthetics have been completed for seven individuals, with plans to finalize the fittings for an additional 25 cases from the area. Simultaneously, these patients are undergoing physiotherapy and rehabilitation. The hospital's medical staff recently accomplished a challenging procedure on Suha, a 35-year-old patient, by replacing her right hip joint with a complete artificial one. Following two months of follow-up care, she has resumed her daily activities. Such surgeries, usually performed in large specialized hospitals, were successfully managed due to the medical team's expertise and the presence of essential equipment. The UAE Floating Hospital commenced its medical services for Palestinians on February 24 of this year. An Emirati medical team, comprising various specialties, manages the hospital, which has conducted 1,263 varied surgeries on patients requiring medical attention, along with providing necessary postoperative care. Launched under Operation Chivalrous Knight 3, the Prosthetics Centre at the UAE Floating Hospital meets the critical need to assist the injured. The centre is furnished with a broad array of advanced medical equipment for orthopedic and prosthetic treatments. These UAE-led humanitarian endeavors are focused on mitigating the suffering of the injured under the severe conditions experienced by the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip.
