Through 'Operation Gallant Knight 3', the UAE is steadfast in its humanitarian efforts in the Gaza Strip, offering assistance and relief to families in need. Four aid ships, carrying a total of 18,530 tonnes of various supplies including medical equipment, pharmaceuticals, shelter materials, food, water, and clothing, have been dispatched to support those impacted by the conflict in Gaza.
Additionally, to meet the critical needs of the displaced population in the Gaza Strip, 257 aircraft and 104 convoys have been deployed, transporting 5,340 tonnes and 19,819 tonnes of aid respectively, to provide essential food and medical care. The UAE's rapid response to the needs of the Palestinian people was emphasized during the country's observance of World Humanitarian Day on August 19, highlighting the bravery, commitment, and resilience of countless volunteers and humanitarian workers worldwide.
The UAE is also committed to bolstering the healthcare sector and repairing damaged hospitals in the Gaza Strip by offering diverse medical services and treatments to the injured at the Emirati field hospital in Rafah and the floating hospital in Arish. Through 'Operation Gallant Knight 3', 400 tonnes of aid and medical supplies were distributed to several hospitals and international organizations.
The 'Birds of Goodness' initiative has delivered over 3,382 tonnes of aid and vital supplies to Gaza residents, particularly those in the northern part of the Strip and those inaccessible by land transport. As part of its campaign to aid local authorities and municipalities in the Gaza Strip, the UAE has established six water desalination plants with a daily production capacity of 1.2 million gallons. The campaign has also provided water transport vehicles and contributed to the restoration of damaged water lines in Khan Yunis.
