The UAE celebrated a moment of national pride on the eve of its National Day as local rider Mohammed Al Balooshi clinched his third FIM Bajas World Cup title following an exciting day of competition at the Dubai International Baja. This weekend's events in the Dubai sands served as the grand finale for the international off-road series, encompassing both two-wheel and four-wheel categories. On the motorcycle front, Poland's Konrad Dabrowski emerged victorious in the event, but Al Balooshi's second-place finish was sufficient to secure the championship. Meanwhile, in the car category, Portugal's Joao Ferreira claimed the FIA World Baja Cup title with a commendable second place, just behind Qatar's Nasser Al Attiyah, who secured his 13th win in Dubai after a fierce desert duel. As the 2024 season wrapped up, several championships were still undecided heading into the final Baja of the year, marking the conclusion of both the FIA and FIM World Cup seasons.
