The UAE, under the directives of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has rapidly responded to the humanitarian crisis in Gaza, prioritizing medical care, urgent relief, and essential services as part of 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3'.

In a strategic move, the UAE established the UAE Field Hospital last year, which has treated 48,704 injured individuals despite ongoing military actions in Rafah, Gaza. Additionally, a floating hospital in Al Arish, Egypt, has provided specialized surgical care and outpatient services, treating 5,040 cases.

As part of 'Operation Chivalrous Knight 3', the UAE introduced a prosthetics initiative to support Gaza residents who have lost limbs, offering advanced prosthetic limbs, psychological support, and rehabilitation.

The UAE has also supported Gaza's damaged health sector by providing 736.25 tonnes of medical supplies and contributing to the rehabilitation and expansion of hospitals and health centers. Following President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan's directives, the UAE launched an initiative to evacuate 1,000 children and 1,000 cancer patients from Gaza to the UAE for specialized medical treatment.

Furthermore, the UAE initiated a polio vaccination campaign for over 640,000 children under ten in Gaza, in collaboration with WHO, UNICEF, and UNRWA. The UAE has delivered humanitarian and medical aid via 273 cargo planes, five cargo ships, and six ships from Cyprus, totaling over 34,000 tonnes of aid.

The 'Birds of Goodness' operation, launched by the UAE's Joint Operations Command, has air-dropped 3,623 tonnes of relief supplies to isolated areas in Gaza. The UAE has also established six water desalination plants in Al Arish, supplying water to over one million people in Gaza, and provided emergency support to Gaza's municipalities.

Despite the devastation and displacement, the UAE's commitment to supporting vital sectors in Gaza and assisting displaced families remains unwavering. Volunteers continue distributing humanitarian aid, including shelter tents, winter clothing, food parcels, and essential supplies.

A year after launching one of the most extensive relief operations in Gaza, the UAE reaffirms its dedication to providing ongoing support, alleviating the hardships faced by the Palestinian people, and striving to improve their living conditions under challenging circumstances.
