The United Arab Emirates (UAE) dispatched an aircraft laden with 37 tonnes of supplies designated for women and children in Lebanon, as part of the "UAE Stands with Lebanon" campaign. This marks the ninth flight in a series of humanitarian efforts orchestrated by UAE President Sheikh Mohammed. The initiative is designed to bolster the Lebanese population during their current humanitarian crisis.

Reem bint Ibrahim Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation and a member of the International Humanitarian Affairs Council, emphasized that this assistance "reflects the steadfast approach and significant interest of the UAE's wise leadership...in promptly addressing such dire humanitarian conditions and urgent requirements." She further underscored the UAE's commitment to aiding communities impacted by crises, with a particular focus on vulnerable groups.

Since the inception of the "UAE Stands with Lebanon" campaign, the total aid provided by the UAE has accumulated to 375 tonnes, encompassing food, medical supplies, and materials essential for shelter and children's needs. On Monday, the UAE affirmed its intention to dispatch six additional humanitarian aid flights to the Lebanese people, following the directives of President Sheikh Mohamed. This new aid will complement the $100 million relief package previously pledged by the country.

Additionally, Sheikh Mohamed directed an urgent relief aid package valued at $30 million to displaced Lebanese individuals currently seeking refuge in Syria on Monday.
