Eight teams will vie for the Asian Cricket Council Men’s U-19 Asia Cup (50 overs), which will be held at the Dubai International Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium starting Friday, 29 November.
Hosts UAE, India, Japan, and Pakistan are grouped in Group A, while defending champions Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Nepal, and Sri Lanka will compete in Group B. On the inaugural day, Bangladesh will face Afghanistan in Dubai, and Sri Lanka will meet Nepal in Sharjah.
The semifinals are slated for Friday, 6 December, with the final set for Sunday, 8 December at the Dubai International Stadium. All matches will commence at 9am local time.
The UAE also hosted the Asia Cup last year; Bangladesh emerged victorious by besting the hosts in the final held at the Dubai International Stadium.
“We are thrilled to host the ACC Men’s U19 Asia Cup for the second consecutive year. This tournament offers a valuable learning experience for the future stars from the participating nations, including the UAE, and provides them with a significant platform to display their skills on the global stage,” said Emirates Cricket Board Chief Operating Officer Subhan Ahmad.
“The Emirates Cricket Board is well-prepared to host another prestigious event following the highly successful ICC Women’s T20 World Cup last month in Dubai and Sharjah. Both venues boast world-class cricketing facilities and are ready to deliver another thrilling competition. We extend our best wishes to all eight teams and eagerly anticipate hosting them,” he added.
