Certain residents in the UAE may anticipate a rainy afternoon on Sunday, August 25, as per the National Centre of Meteorology (NCM). The weather department predicts that rain is likely today in the eastern and southern regions of the country. On Saturday, the forecast indicated that light rains and showers would persist until today. However, while some areas experienced rainfall and hail yesterday, other parts of the country saw dust storms.

Although it might rain in some areas, most residents of the UAE can expect a partly cloudy day on Sunday. By afternoon, low clouds are expected to form over the eastern coast, with a chance of convective cloud development. These convective clouds, which are linked to rainfall, are anticipated to emerge over the eastern and southern regions this afternoon.

Despite the possibility of a rainy afternoon in some parts of the country, temperatures could still reach up to 47ºC in certain neighborhoods in Abu Dhabi. Meanwhile, temperatures in the mountains could drop as low as 22ºC. Light to moderate winds, occasionally strengthening, with speeds up to 40kmph are expected to blow across the country, causing dust. The sea conditions are forecasted to be slight in both the Arabian Gulf and the Oman Sea.
