Both Abu Dhabi and Dubai are set to hit a high of 47ºC today. The nation witnessed its hottest day this year on Sunday, with temperatures soaring to 49.4°C. The weather department noted that the highest temperature, recorded at 2:45pm, was in Sweihan (Al Ain) in Abu Dhabi. This afternoon, the forecast indicates cloudy skies in the eastern and southern regions, with a possibility of light rain due to convective clouds. Light to moderate winds, occasionally strong, are expected to stir up dust during the day. The Arabian Gulf will see a slight to moderate sea state, while the Oman Sea will be slight.
