Star Wars Outlaws, launched in late August, faced lower-than-expected sales, but Ubisoft remains committed to the game's success. Ubisoft management believes that with improvements in key areas, the game can achieve its potential. Recently, Ubisoft outlined its ongoing efforts to enhance the player experience.

Ubisoft stated that the development team has been actively 'listening to, gathering, and actioning feedback' and has identified areas for improvement. 'We've already made changes to the game and look forward to continuing to improve the experience over time. Our priority is to provide the best Star Wars experience possible,' the studio emphasized.

The game now has a new creative director, Drew Rechner, a 10-year Ubisoft veteran who succeeded Julian Gerighty. Rechner noted that the team has received both 'positive' and 'constructive' feedback. Ubisoft has compiled data from various sources, including internal analytics, user tests, reviews, media feedback, crash reports, and social media platforms like YouTube, Reddit, and Discord.

'We deeply care about your experience with the game and use all the data and feedback possible to identify issues and areas for improvement,' Rechner said. So far, three title updates have addressed significant fan concerns, such as bug fixes and stealth mission enhancements.

Rechner outlined three additional areas for improvement: enhancing combat depth and excitement, improving stealth mechanics, and refining control responsiveness. More details on these changes will be provided in the coming weeks. Title Update 1.4, launching on November 21, will coincide with the game's Steam debut and the first story expansion, Wild Card.

Ubisoft expressed gratitude to players for their support and feedback, hoping they will continue to enjoy exploring the galaxy. Despite initial underwhelming sales, Ubisoft remains fully committed to improving Star Wars Outlaws.
