Building connections with your Followers in Metaphor: ReFantazio is crucial, as it unlocks unique abilities and new Archetypes for your team. Most of these bonds are straightforward to advance once established, but strengthening your relationship with Neuras, your engineer, demands a bit more effort. To progress with him, you'll need to locate Relics, which are scattered across various side dungeons in the game. While the in-game quest offers hints about their whereabouts, we can pinpoint their exact locations for you. After obtaining a relic, you must present it to Neuras to move to the next Follower level. The sections are named after the locations where the relics are found and are arranged based on when they become accessible to you. Since these quests become available as you advance in the main story, there are minor spoilers, but no significant plot points will be revealed.
To initiate your bond with Neuras, complete the first quest "Providing a Spark," which requires you to retrieve a relic and a notebook from the town of Komoro. This quest becomes available after you receive a main deadline in Martira. Simply go to the town and select the talk option from the menu—Komoro is not a town you can explore—and you'll obtain the necessary items. Hand them over to Neuras to complete the quest and establish him as your Follower.
Another location, Man-Eater's Grotto, becomes accessible during your time in Martira. The bounty "The Man-Eater in the Mine" becomes available at the recruitment center after you receive your second main deadline in Martira. The relic is located in an early section of the dungeon. Upon entering, you'll drop into a square room. Head to the highlighted red area, which will lead you up a floor. There's a small area seemingly blocked by walls, but a crawl space on one side allows you to reach the chest containing the relic.
The Tomb of Lament can be accessed by accepting the bounty "Grieving Ghost of the Goblet" from any recruitment center after you receive your main deadline in Port Brilehaven. Travel to the Tomb of Lament, where the relic is in an early section of the dungeon. Shortly after entering, you'll be directed to the lower floor, where the relic is in a chest behind cell bars. To reach this area, you need to navigate a detached hallway via a small passageway in the starting hallway, then take a second passageway into the cell.
Scoundrel's Hold is linked to the bounty "The Greater One-Eyed Scoundrel." Although located outside Grand Trad, this bounty becomes available after you receive your main deadline on Virga Island and can be accepted at any recruitment center. Shortly into the dungeon, the path splits into left and right. Head right, but instead of following the path, move towards the wall to find a hidden passageway. Inside, the relic is in a chest.
The Land of Ceremony can be reached via the side quest "The Trial of Malnova" after you receive a second main deadline on Virga Island. This request comes from Eupha, found on Virga Island. Accept the quest to travel to the Land of Ceremony. The relic is in a side area on the bottom floor, on the leftmost side of the dungeon. You need to enter this area via a ramp found on the upper floor. Ramps shown on the map overlap from floor to floor, so the ramp inquisition is in the same section of the dungeon, just one floor up.
The Everfrost Forest can be accessed by accepting the bounty "The Fiend in the Frozen Forest" after you receive your main deadline in Altabury Heights from any recruitment center. This dungeon is a large, winding forest, making the relic relatively easy to find. It's in a chest in the middle section of the right half of the map.
Mt. Vulkano can be accessed by accepting the quest "The Edge of Glory" from a man in Sunshade Row in Grand Trad after returning there and receiving a new main deadline quest. Upon reaching Mt. Vulkano, you'll notice it involves a lot of dropping into holes and climbing ladders to progress. The relic is tucked away in an area you must reach to complete the dungeon. As shown in the image, the relic is on the main floor (the floor you enter the dungeon on). You need to bypass two holes in the floor to reach the furthest part of this area. The area to walk around the second hole is quite small, but you cannot actually fall into these holes. You only jump down if you hit the action button to do so, so just try and walk around them to reach the chest in the back.
That's the final relic you need to collect. To fully max out your Follower rank with Neuras, you'll need to complete one additional fight, but Neuras marks it on your map, and it doesn't involve a dungeon. It's also not a particularly hard fight unless your party is under-leveled at this point. If you're at least level 60, it shouldn't be too difficult to win.
